William Greene

William Bill Greene, 60, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Ford and Grayce Lawton Greene. He was born May 25, 1948 at Wellsville, New York and died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bill was a Vietnam veteran who served his country in the United States Army before he was honorably discharged in 1968. He and Mary were married on December 20, 1997 at McLean, New York. Bill earned a PhD in animal science and had been employed as a teacher and school administrator. He was a member the Lucien United Methodist Church. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed horses, cattle and hunting and looking at coyotes and other roaming wild animals on his 160-acre ranch. In addition to his wife, Mary, Bill is survived by one son, David R. Underwood, of Cortland, New York; one daughter, Marisia Michelle Batsford, of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister, Linda Boerner, of Lima, New York; and four grandchildren.
