Wilburn M. Tubbs, 91, of Orlando, Oklahoma, was the son of Leo and Winnie Evans Tubbs. He was born August 31, 1914 at Orlando, Oklahoma and died on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Burleson, Texas. He and Ernestine Mae Crockett were married on May 25, 1941 at Perry, Oklahoma. His wife preceded him in death in 1998. Wilburn was a veteran of World War II who served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2005 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Woody Oliver will officiate. There will be a private inurnment. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. Memorials may be made to the Voice of Mexico or Christian Record Braille in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077. Wilburn is survived by three sons, Larry Tubbs, of Orlando, Oklahoma and John Tubbs and Tommy Tubbs, both of Burleson, Texas; two daughters, Rosa Lee Tubbs, of Loma Linda, California and Mary Ann Riveira, of Long Beach, California; nine grandchildren, Quent Tubbs, of Enid, Oklahoma, Sandra Dover, of Hays, Kansas, Lora Allsman, of Bismarck, North Dakota, John Tubbs II, of Grandview, Texas, Jeffery Tubbs, of Cleburne, Texas, Jennifer Castania, of Plaquemine, Louisiana, Ashley Riveira, of Boston, Massachusetts, Tammy Faber, of Wichita, Kansas and Sgt. Matthew Tubbs, serving with the United States Army; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Ernestine, Wilburn was preceded in death by one son, Ross Ernest Tubbs, his parents, Leo and Winnie Tubbs and two great-grandchildren.
