Wanda J. Gilbreath, 76, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of William and Valerie Airington Miller. She was born October 27, 1932 at Gotebo, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Wanda, as a member of the Gotebo High School softball team, pitched the first state championship softball tournament in Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Gotebo High School. She and Earl Warren Gilbreath were married on February 23, 1970 at Brownsville, Texas. Earl preceded his wife in death on August 26, 1999. Wanda was a homemaker and a retail business owner. She owned and operated The Dinner Bell and later was employed six years at Mr. Discount. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, baking, fishing, gardening, planting flowers and cake decorating. Wanda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and unit five. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry. Steve Wheatley will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Companion Hospice or Alzheimer's Association in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th St., Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Wanda is survived by four daughters, Tia Hammock and her husband, Mark, of Perry, Oklahoma, Gerri Harlow and her husband, George, of Great Bend, Kansas, Dian Rose and her husband, David, of Oklahoma and Dawn Hatcher, of Gotebo, Oklahoma; one son, Larry Law and his wife, Rene, of Gotebo, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Shannon Rogers, Jennifer Self, Jarod Law and his wife, Corine, Justin Law and Josh Law, all of Oklahoma; John Rogers, of Texas; Wesley Scott of Mountain View, Oklahoma; Maverick Hammock, Kelsey Hammock and Kylie Hammock, all of Perry, Oklahoma and Mallori Peterson, of Gotebo, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bill Miller and his wife, Wilma, of Wilson, Oklahoma.
