Wanda Anderson

Wanda Anderson, 85, of Lamont, Oklahoma, died Thursday, October 25, 2006 at the Greenbrier Nursing Home, Enid, Oklahoma. Wanda was born June 18, 1921 in Lamont, Oklahoma to Ed and Mollie Cochran Darling. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2006 at the First Christian Church of Lamont, Oklahoma with. Rev. Jeff McReynolds officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Lamont First Christian Church or American Cancer Fund in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 400 East Grand Ave. Tonkawa, Oklahoma 74653. She was united in marriage December 10, 1941 to Jack L. Anderson in Houston, Texas. She and Jack owned and operated J. W. Caf in Lamont for years before moving to Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1971. Jack preceded her in death January 30, 1982 after which she moved back to Lamont. She was Past Worthy Matron of Lamont O.E.S., member of V.F.W. Ladies Aux. of Blackwell, Oklahoma, American Legion Aux. of Blackwell and the First Christian Church of Lamont, Oklahoma. Wanda was a caring, loving aunt who touched many lives. She will be missed thoroughly by her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers Clyde and Frank Darling.
