Trueman Stotts, 89, of Coffeyville, Kansas formerly of Lucien, Oklahoma was the son of Cassius Marcellus and Hattie Mae Hargus Stotts. He was born on March 18, 1918 in Covington, Oklahoma, and died Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. In 1981, Trueman retired from farming and ranching after having farmed and ranched for over forty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making and restoring furniture. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Trueman married Juanita Cloma Sams on February 23, 1938, in Perry, Oklahoma at the Noble County Courthouse. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in the Lucien United Methodist Church, Rev. Dane Lemmons will officiate. Interment will be in McGuire Cemetery northeast of Lucien, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Lucien United Methodist Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Trueman is survived by one daughter, Martha Casteel and her husband Wayne of Lucien, OK. ; two sons, Ronnie Stotts and his wife Nona of Coffeyville, KS. Leon Stotts of Yucca Valley, CA,; twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita in 1982, one grandson Matt Casteel, two sisters and five brothers.
