Susan Simmering

Susan Simmering, 56, of Garber, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Charles LeRoy and Sudie Levern Morris Moore. She was born on December 19, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas and died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. On July 4, 1983, Susan married Mike Simmering in Dallas, Texas. Susan enjoyed making jewelry, taking care of her plants and selling her Gurkees shoes. She was always looking for ways to help out. Susan was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Garber. Pastor Joseph Myers will officiate. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. Susan is survived by her husband, Mike Simmering; three daughters, Christina Wedel and her husband, Reese, of Garber, Oklahoma, Tisha Phipps of Burkburnett, Texas and Amy Rice and her husband, John, of Toronto, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Nicole Wedel, Devin Wedel and Amanda Wedel, all of Garber, Oklahoma, Brenna Phipps and Kaylee Phipps, both of Burkburnett, Texas, Ashley Phipps of Enid, Oklahoma, Dustin Rice, Brittany Rice and Ciara Rice, all of Toronto, Ohio; one great grandchild, Miley Wedel of Garber, Oklahoma; her mother, Sudie Levern Moore of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, B.J. Moore of Hurst, Texas and Charles Moore of Temple, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Bittle of Pond Creek, Oklahoma and Ada Stuart of Dallas, Texas and a nephew, Nathan Cunningham of Dallas, Texas.
