Sonja Heinrich

Sonja Sue Heinrich, 65, of Billings, Oklahoma was the daughter of Glen and Bessy Provaznik Ott. She was born April 1, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma and died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid after battling cancer for six years and two months. Sonja grew up on a farm southwest of Enid and graduated from Drummond High School in 1961. She married Larry S. Heinrich on April 10, 1963 in Enid. In 1971, they moved from Enid to a farm near Billings where they continued to reside. An accomplished cook and seamstress, she made clothing for herself and her family. Sonja also helped with the family farming and cattle operations and enjoyed growing a huge garden each year. She loved animals, especially dogs. Sonja always had a smile on her face and looked forward to spending time with her family. She encouraged others, especially cancer patients, to never give up. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Antelope Valley Church of the Brethren, south of Billings. Pastor Russell Betz will officiate. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, southeast of Billings. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Billings. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Dugger Funeral Home in Billings. Memorials may be made to the Antelope Valley Church of the Brethren or the Garfield County Relay for Life in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Billings, OK 74630. Sonja is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home; one son, Tim Heinrich and his wife, Debbie, of Billings, Oklahoma; one daughter, Stephanie Heinrich of Billings, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Baxter and Garret Heinrich of Billings, Oklahoma; two brothers, David Ott and his wife, Carolyn, of Kremlin, Oklahoma and Jerry Ott and his wife, Charlotte, of Drummond, Oklahoma; two sisters, Rondi Ott, of Enid, Oklahoma and Linda Ott Yaydon, of Indiana; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
