Robin Muir

Robin Muir, born September 25, 1950 as Roberta Sue Rector in McAlester, Oklahoma to William and Jeanette John Rector, was surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 21, 2015, when she passed away peacefully in her Perry home.

Robin graduated from McAlester High School in 1969 and went on to continue her education at Kansas University. On May 29, 1971, Robin Rector was united in marriage with David Muir Jr. in Lawrence, Kansas and through this union two children were born, Jenelle and David. Robin and Dave have made Perry their home for the last 22 years, moving here from Oklahoma City in 1993. Robin enjoyed helping people, reading, photography, being outdoors, and Angels. She herself was an Angel.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Muir Jr. of the Perry home; one daughter, Jenelle Bean and her husband, Cody of Spring Hill, Florida; one son, David Muir III of Houston, Texas; her mother, Jeanette Schoen of Lawrence, Kansas; two sisters, Jennie Crews and her husband, Mike of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kathy Hetu of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Dick Rector and his wife Debbie of Lawrence, Kansas and John Rector and his wife, Phyllis of Marshall, Missouri; and everyone else who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Penny Sage.

A celebration of life is scheduled to begin at 2pm Saturday March 7, at the Muir home. A more formal remembrance will commence at 3pm, after which her life celebration will continue into the evening. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma.
