Bob Farabough, 73, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Dow and Agnes Renetta Bertha Pomeranke Farabough. He was born October 9, 1930 in Nardin, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Blackwell High School in 1948 and attended Spartan School of Aeronautics before joining the United States Air Force in 1951. On November 11, 1951, he and the former Judy Sharp were married at the First United Methodist Church in Nardin, Oklahoma. They established their first home in San Antonio, Texas. While enlisted in the Air Force, Bob was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas and Tinker Air Force Base at Midwest City, Oklahoma. After leaving the Air Force in 1955, he attended Oklahoma AM, where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Agriculture Education. He taught vocational education at Capron, Oklahoma. Bob was employed by the OSU Cooperative Extension Service in 1961 at McAlester, where he received his masters degree in Agriculture Education from Oklahoma State University. Bob worked for the Extension Service in Guymon for two and one-half years and Pauls Valley for four years as 4-H agent. He was county agriculture agent at Coalgate for one and one-half years, then moved to Perry in 1973 as Noble County Extension Director and Ag Agent. Bob retired from the Cooperative Extension Service in 1988. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Poultry Association. There will be a private family graveside service. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Rev. Ron Weathers will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2004 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Circle of Care, First United Methodist Church in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. In addition to his wife, Judy, survivors are daughter Becky Stone and her husband, Gary, grandson Caleb Stone and his wife Amanda and sons, Seth and Jared, all of Chandler, Oklahoma, grandson Jacob Stone and his wife Megan of Edmond, Oklahoma and grandson Nathan Stone, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughter Barbra Case and her husband Dan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Beverly Smith and grandson William Smith of Kingston, Oklahoma, grandson Robert Smith and his wife Melinda of Norman, Oklahoma and grandson Clinton Smith of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughter Beth Bolay and her husband Kurt, and granddaughters Kathryn Bolay and Karolyn Bolay, all of Perry, Oklahoma; and daughter Belinda Clark and grandsons Matthew Clark and Joshua Clark, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Mildred Blunk and her husband Don, of Wichita, Kansas; and three brothers, Herbert Farabough, of Wichita, Kansas, Wesley Farabough, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Leroy Farabough and his wife, Vera, of Nardin, Oklahoma.
