Ricky Swoboda

Ricky Lynn Swoboda, 48, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of James Joseph and Jewel V. Vaughn Swoboda. He was born on January 17, 1956 in Washington, Missouri and died Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Ricky married Rhonda Slay on October 19, 1974 in Perry, Oklahoma. To this twenty-five year union two sons, Jason and Brian, were born. Ricky enjoyed deer hunting, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, four-wheeling and working on cars. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2004 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Ricky is survived by two sons, Jason Swoboda of Orlando, Florida and Brian Swoboda of Perry, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jordan Swoboda and Kaylie Swoboda, both of Orlando, Florida and Kaitlyn Swoboda of El Reno, Oklahoma; his mother, Jewel of Ninety Six, South Carolina; one brother, Gary J. Swoboda of Bland, Missouri and two sisters, Gail Hake of Perry, Oklahoma and Sheryl Smith of Ninety Six, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, James Swoboda; maternal grandparents, Albert and Bessie Vaughn; paternal grandparents, James Joseph and Carrie Swoboda; one uncle, Ronald Vaughn and one nephew, Gary Hake.
