Ricky Green

Ricky Dean Rick Green, 57, of Enid, Oklahoma, was the son of Hyler Max and Mary Catherine Astley Green. He was born on April 8, 1953 in Cherokee, Oklahoma and died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. Rick was a 1971 graduate of Pond Creek High School. After graduation Rick attended Okmulgee Tech to pursue a career as a pressman. He married Sheila Louise York on April 25, 1975 in Gainesville, Texas. Rick was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. He took great joy in taking care of his friends at the Billings Fairchild Center. He was honored as the Ombudsman of the year twice most recently in 2009. Rick enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and teaching his grandchildren. He was an avid blood donor who enjoyed listening to music and took pride in his collection of c.ds. He was a hard worker who worked in the oilfield until 1989, when he began his twenty year career with Oxbow Calcine. Rick will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His friends and family will cherish their memories they shared together. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2505 W. Owen K Garriott Road, Enid, Oklahoma. Pastor Wade Burleson will officiate. Flowers will be received at Emmanuel Baptist Church prior to the memorial service. Rick is survived by his wife, Sheila of home two sons, Dustin Green and his wife Amanda of Enid, Oklahoma and Derek Green and his wife Jennifer of Wellston, Oklahoma mother, Mary Catherine Green of Pond Creek, Oklahoma two brothers, Randy and his wife Krista Green of Ft. Worth, Texas and Ronnie Green and his wife Marsha of Jefferson, Oklahoma and three grandchildren Rebekah Green and Elijah Dean Green both of Wellston, Julie Green of Enid, Oklahoma, his extended family includes Bob and Debbie Perry and family of Waukomis, Oklahoma, Tom and Becki Koehler and family of Enid, Oklahoma, Janet Anderson of Enid, Oklahoma, Cindy Arias of Pratt, Kansas, Steve and Vickie Yadon and family of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Charlie Oldridge of Enid, Oklahoma, all of his friends at the Billings Fairchild Center and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Hyler Max Green grandparents brotherinlaw, Butch Anderson and motherinlaw, Wanda Yadon Oldridge.
