1942 - 2019

Richard Alan Jack, age 76. was born in Orlando Oklahoma on October 13, 1942, and passed away at his home in Orlando. Richard entered the Pearly Gates of Heaven on April 11 , 2019 to be met by his father (Arthur Theodore Jack); mother (Eleanor Lou (Hurst) Jack) two brothers (ArthurTheodore Jack, Jr, and Kenneth Lee Jack) and one sister (Betty Lou (Jack) Flowers.

Richard attended Orlando Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1961. Richard was later drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam era and honorably served two years (1965 - 1967) while stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. He ended his tour of military service with the Army with the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. Richard worked in the oil field in his early adult years and before retiring worked with B&L Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. in Stillwater.

Richard has been a life-long member of the First Methodist Church in Orlando. Richard had a generous heart and shared his home with many individuals, who were less fortunate and needed a warm bed and meal until they could get back on their feet. Richard grew up playing Cowboys and Indians, playing marbles, riding his bike. He loved fishing, gardening, beating his sisters at dominos, watching old movies on TV, working on cars, playing horseshoes, cooking chili for family reunions and friends, and spending Sunday dinners with family.

Richard raised his two children as a single parent and is survived by the loves of his life: one daughter and son-in-law Belinda Mae (Jack) Layton and Larry James Layton of Perry; and one son (Rocky Alan Jack of Ponca City). Richard always reached out his arms to embrace his 10 wonderful grandchildren and 13 wonderful great grandchildren. They are Jerrad Layton, Jessica White, Heather Conrad, Doris Meree, Jeremy Alan Jack, Mary Jack, Austin D. Jack, Alicia May Jack, Emma Roundy, and Amanda Anniballi, and his great grandchildren are Evelyn Robbins, Clementine Layton, Theodore Layton, Hudson White, Oliver Conrad, Parker Jack, Grand Jack, Mason Jack, Brandon Grooms, Robert Walker,Troy Bates, Xavior Zimmer, and Zofeya Anniballi.

Richard is also survived by his loving sister and brother in law (Shirley Marie (Jack) Marquardt and Donald Lee Marquardt of Round Rock, Texas; one loving brother and sister in law (Thomas Edward Jack & Katherine Rae (Gottfried) Jack of Perry; and one loving brother in law (George Edward Flower III of Delaware OK.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Richard's daughter Belinda Layton. All contributions will be accepted and forwarded to Mrs. Layton by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry.
