Richard Hugh Cinnamon of Garber, Oklahoma, son of Ray Gene and Libby Sebranek Cinnamon, was born April 5, 1954 in Enid, Oklahoma. He passed away after a farming accident at his home east of Garber on September 16, 2010 at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 11 days. He graduated from Garber High School in 1972 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He served as a state FFA officer in 1972 and received his American Farmer Degree in 1973. On December 19, 1976, he was married to Jonni Ann Koppitz in Alva, Oklahoma. To their marriage five children, Jodi Marie, Kristi Jean, Ryan Paul, Lesli Rai and Ricki Ann were born. They lived and farmed east of Garber raising their children on the Cinnamon home place. Richard was a member of the Garber Christian Church where he served on the church board and as deacon. He served on the Garber Coop Board and was a member of the American Angus Association. He enjoyed playing sports and watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. He also enjoyed showing prize animals at fairs and stock shows, and then watching his children show their animals. Richard was instrumental in leading his five children toward their American FFA Degree. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Garber Christian Church with Pastor Doyle Newsom and Pastor Don Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Garber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Garber. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Dugger Funeral Home. Richard is survived by his wife, Jonni, of the home children, Jodi and her husband, Wacy Sharp, of Enid, Oklahoma and their children Gunner, Anndi, and Kennon Sharp Kristi and her husband, Scott Steinert, of Enid, Oklahoma and their children, Colton and Aubri Steinert Ryan Cinnamon of Garber, Oklahoma Lesli and her husband, Jason Bollman, of Caldwell, Kansas and their son, Wyatt Bollman Ricki Cinnamon of the home and her fianceacute, Jesse Mason, of Arkansas City, Kansas parents, Ray Gene and Libby Cinnamon, of Garber, Oklahoma brother, Eldon Cinnamon and his wife, Paula, of Perry, Oklahoma sisters, Jean and her husband, Joe Surface, of Alva, Oklahoma, Donna and her husband, Mike Thralls, of Billings, Oklahoma, Nita and her husband, Ron Pope, of Manhattan, Kansas and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his father and motherinlaw, Paul and Georgiana Koppitz and sisterinlaw, Rinda Koppitz.
