Raylene Smith

October 9, 1941 — November 28, 2017

Raylene Smith, 76, of Perry, Oklahoma was born on October 9, 1941 to Francis and Ida Day in Marshall, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She married the love of her life, Delmar Smith on February 10, 1957. They were high school sweet hearts who never got enough of each other. They were married for 61 long and happy years. During their life together they had 5 wonderful children who brought her great joy and love.

Raylene enjoyed working at the bank as a teller along with raising her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed sitting down to sew, and taking care of others. She was a very giving person who never knew a stranger. Some would say she had a heart of gold. She also had a love for basketball, at an early age she started watching OU woman's basketball and has loved the sport ever since. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Orlando, Oklahoma. Raylene also loved to garden. Whether it was plants, flowers, or vegetables she loved to be in her garden. While working in her garden she would put bird feeders out in hopes that they would come feast. She loved all animals, but especially liked to watch and learn about the different species of birds that would come by.
