Penny Hunt

Penny L. Hunt, 63, of Covington, Oklahoma was the daughter of Herbert Dafoe and Loyce Fern Martin Pinkerton. She was born December 12, 1942 in Oklahoma City and died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at her home. Penny was a 1959 graduate of Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She and Lawrence L. Hunt were married on November 11, 1962 at Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who had served as a town representative. Penny was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Hayward Sunshine Extension Club. She also was involved in the summer Little League program. Penny enjoyed sewing and crafts and was known as a good seamstress and a good cook. Her sparkling sense of humor and compassionate caring for others resulted in many, many friends. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, but is now at peace with her Savior. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Covington. Rev. Jody Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be in the Covington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Covington in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Penny is survived by her mother, Loyce Pinkerton, of Covington, Oklahoma; two daughters, Paula Collier, of Norman, Oklahoma and Lisa Wosika, of Covington, Oklahoma and Paul Wosika of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Angela McLane and her husband, Curt, of Harrah, Oklahoma, Amanda Slemp and her husband, Matt, of Marshall, Oklahoma, Andrew Collier, of Norman, Oklahoma, Joseph Wosika, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rachelle Simpson, of Garber, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Dylan McLane and Emma McLane, of Harrah, Oklahoma and Candice Collier, of Norman, Oklahoma; two brothers, Martin Pinkerton, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Paul Pinkerton and his wife, Denise, of Yukon, Oklahoma; one sister, Patty Sowle and her husband, Umit, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews, including Eliza Sowle, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Emily Pinkerton, of Yukon, Oklahoma and Ian Sowle, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
