Peggy W. Beadles, 73, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Richard Nelson and Ocie Pearl Woods Palmer. She was born January 4, 1935 in Caney, Kansas and died Monday, March 3, 2008 at her home. On August 19, 1953, she and Mac E. Beadles were married in Fredonia, Kansas. Mac preceded her in death on September 1, 2002. Peggy was a homemaker who previously was employed as an administrative secretary and then business manager for the 42-bed St. Margaret's Mercy Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas before becoming the office manager for Dr. Hugh G. Bayles in Fredonia. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Perry, a member of the Presbyterian Women and a past elder commissioner of the Cimarron Presbytery. Peggy was member of the Rebekah Lodge in Severy, Kansas and the Mistletoe Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Fall River, Kansas. She was an honorary member of the Junior Advance Club in Fall River. Peggy was a 4-H Leader in Fall River, Kansas and was active in the Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and BH Chapter of PEO in Perry. She was a past member of the Eureka Country Club in Eureka, Kansas and Perry Golf and Country Club in Perry. An avid sports fan, Peggy supported the Perry sports program for several years. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing bridge and yard work. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Perry. Rick Rhodes will officiate, assisted by Rev. Tim Boggess. Committal services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 in the Fredonia City Cemetery at Fredonia, Kansas. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma. A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Youth Group of Perry, the United Methodist Church of Fall River, Kansas, the Perry Diamond Club or Judith Karman Hospice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N.7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Peggy is survived by two daughters, Sherri L. Huneycutt and her husband, Tim, and Kristi K. Johnson and her husband, Scott, all of Perry, Oklahoma and two grandchildren, Kaelee A. Ambrose and her husband, James, of Perry, Oklahoma, and Tate W. Johnson, of Stillwater, Oklahoma. In addition to her husband, Mac, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Cathy Suzanne Palmer, and one brother, Jerry Lee Palmer.
