Paula Humphries Wilcox, 54, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Willow Haven Nursing Center, Tonkawa, Oklahoma. She was born September 2, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma to Bill Gilbert and Donna Schmitz Gilbert. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. September 11, 2006 in the Christian Life Church Tonkawa, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Serviss officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosemound Cemetery, Medford, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the directions of Dugger Funeral Home in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Paula grew up and received her education in Tonkawa, graduating from Tonkawa high school. She worked at the N.O.C. Bookstore, taught painting at N.O.C. and worked at Conoco in the Safety Dept. before moving to Hawaii. Paula had many passions in her life and was always trying to help others. She enjoyed oil painting, reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchild. She is survived by her mother, Donna Lawson and her husband, Don of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sons, Derrick Humphries of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Chad Humphries and Tiffany of Sacramento, California; her daughter, Alisa Humphries of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; her sister, Linda Hoddy and her husband, Dennis of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her step mother Stevanna Gilbert of Ft. Scott, Kansas; and her grandchild, Hayden Lefebure and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Gilbert.
