Paul Marker

Paul M. Marker, 83, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Paul F. and Alice Marker. He was born October 14, 1924 at Wintersville, Ohio and died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Perry Memorial Hospital. Paul served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Prior to retirement, he worked in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff and had been a heavy equipment operator. On August 12, 1960, he and Patricia Ann Elaine Marker were married in St. Petersburg, Florida. His wife preceded him in death on December 11, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Perry. Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Paul is survived by two sons, James Jerome Jimmy Marker and his wife, Charlene, of Perry, Oklahoma and Dwight McDonough, of Byhalia, Mississippi; eight daughters, Michelle Ann Reeves and her husband, Johnny, Paula Denise Marker, Victoria Shareen Emmons and her husband, Wendell, Tamara Dionne McNabb and her husband, Jason, Shannon Eileen Marker, Laurie Lee Marker, and Christine Lynn Marker, all of Perry, Oklahoma and Cheryl Sailing, of Ohio; two sisters, Evelyn Finley and Ruth Rauschenbach, both of Ohio; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
