Olin Snyder, 84, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Dosey and Bertha Atterbery Snyder. He was born March 13, 1921 at Douglas, Oklahoma and died Monday, September 12, 2005 at Perkins, Oklahoma. He graduated from Douglas High School and was a World War II veteran who served in the United States Navy from 1943-1945. Olin and Ruby Kelley were married at Enid, Oklahoma on June 15, 1945. His wife preceded him in death on December 29, 1976. He was a Highway Inspector for the Oklahoma State Highway Department before he retired in 1983. Olin had been a Noble County resident for 55 years, moving to the local area from Covington. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2005 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel at Perry. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2005 in the Covington Cemetery at Covington, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. The family has requested memorials be made to Judith Karman Hospice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077 A family visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Survivors are two daughters, Cynthia Holbrook, of Perkins, Oklahoma and Patricia Spence of Cleveland, Texas; one brother, Orin Snyder, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Lane Spence, of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Gale Spence and Seth Spence, both of Cleveland, Texas; and four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Spence, Aidan Spence, Sarah Spence and Walker Spence, all of Ponca City, Oklahoma. In addition to his wife, Ruby, his parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
