Norman Stevens

Norman Stevens, 53, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Norman Eugene, Sr. and Laura Evalyn Thomas Stevens. He was born on July 22, 1957 in Woodward, Oklahoma and died Friday, April 1, 2011 at his home. He was the youngest in his scout troop to achieve his Eagle Scout. On March 12, 1988, Norman married Rhonda L. Brinkley in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Norman worked at Ditch Witch for 30 years in marketing and manufacturing. He served on the Perry Memorial Hospital Board, Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and various committees at the Perry First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Leadership Oklahoma, the Perry FFA Booster Club and the Beta Fraternity at Oklahoma State University. Norman was an avid Oklahoma State Cowboy fan. He enjoyed spending his spare time with his daughters in their activities. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Perry. Rev. Ed Cook and Rick Brinkley will officiate. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Perry Boy Scouts, Perry FFA or the Soup Kitchen in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077. Norman is survived by his wife, Rhonda Stevens two daughters, Stacey Stevens and Summer Stevens, both of Perry, Oklahoma mother, Laura Evalyn Stevens of Woodward, Oklahoma two sisters, Debbie Blackburn and her husband, Bob, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sheryl Benbrook and her husband, Bruce, of Woodward, Oklahoma motherinlaw and fatherinlaw, Don and Carolyn Brinkley of Collinsville, Oklahoma one brotherinlaw, Rick Brinkley of Owasso, Oklahoma one sisterinlaw, Rusti Howard and her husband, Chuck, of Collinsville, Oklahoma six nieces and nephews, Rachel and Julia Benbrook, both of Woodward, Oklahoma, Brinkley Howard, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Beau Blackburn of San Diego, California, Tyler Howard and John Gable, both of Collinsville, Oklahoma and one great nephew, Cristian Gable of Collinsville, Oklahoma.
