Nettie Mae Shoup Rieman has gone to heaven. She was 89 years young. She was born on January 21, 1930, in Perry, OK the daughter of Ralph Shoup and his wife Lennie Mae Womack Shoup. Nettie met and married the love of her life, Herman Lee Rieman on September 3, 1960. They were joined at the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry. She was a farmer's wife and devoted her life to helping her husband run the farm. She washed clothes by hand in an old tub and hung them on the line to dry. She enjoyed going out to eat, fishing, sewing, and dancing. She looked forward to her Saturday morning drive to town for garage sales and shopping. Her daughter tells us that she made the biggest and best cinnamon rolls in town. She didn’t have any recipes, just made it all by memory. Nettie was reunited in heaven with her parents and husband, siblings Paul, Bessie, Frank, Daisy, and William (Bub). She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Linda Pritchett of Perry, Son Paul Cox and wife Donna of Orlando, Son Darrell Cox and wife Theresa, Son Ricky Cox, daughter Kathy Nida and her husband Ralph, and daughter Brenda Sullins and her husband Mike all of Perry. She was survived by 15 grandkids, numerous great-grandkids and one great-great-grandchild, and one special dog “Buddy”. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Brown Dugger Funeral Home 1010 N 7th Street Perry. Friends and family are welcome to stop by the funeral home on Tuesday to pay their respects.
