Nancy Jane Cooper, 65, of Blackwell, Oklahoma died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at her home in Blackwell. Nancy was born May 28th, 1940 in Gueba Springs, Kansas to Harold LeRoy and Ester Leree McMains Brownlee. Nancy was educated in Braman, Oklahoma, graduating from Braman High School. She moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1955 and returned to Blackwell in 1973, where she has been a resident for 30 years. She was employed at Wal Mart for five years working in the Jewelry Department before retiring in 2000. Nancy was united in marriage to Jerry Cooper on December 6, 1985 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Nancy loved to crochet, cook and read passages from the Bible to her friends and family. She attended the First Free Will Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2006 in the Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Blackwell, Oklahoma with the Pastor Andy Teston officiating. Memorials may be made to Faith Hospice of Blackwell in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 301 W. Blackwell Ave, Blackwell, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, Jerry of the home; four daughters, Charlene Shoats, Penny Woodruff and Tammy Miramontes all of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Patricia Pendleton of Medford, Oklahoma; two brothers, James Brownlee of Wichita, Kansas and Jerry Brownlee of Athens, Texas; two sisters, Donna Davis of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Linda Burris of Blackwell, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
