Mildred Lee Shearer, 78, of Perry, Oklahoma was the daughter of Frank and Margret Warren Ranes. She was born on September 14, 1933 in Ceres, Oklahoma and died on March 24, 2012 in Stillwater, Oklahoma She married her best friend, Orrin Shearer on May 18, 1952 in Ceres, Oklahoma. Orrin preceded Mildred in death on October 29, 1985. Mildred enjoyed taking care of people and worked as a home health caretaker for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, baking and decorating specialty cakes and other craft projects. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and a troop leader for the Boy Scouts. Mildred was a member of the Church of God in Enid, Oklahoma where she also taught Sunday school. Mildred will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel. Gus Jacobi will officiate and will be assisted by Brian Davis. Interment will be in Ceres Cemetery in Ceres, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry. Family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Judith Karman Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Mildred is survived by her two sons, Mark Shearer and his wife, Alvina of Perry, Oklahoma, Paul Shearer and his wife, Rita of Copperas Cove, Texas two daughters, Oriana Burasco and her husband, Jason of Lafayette, Louisiana, Elona Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma two brothers, Jim Ranes and his wife Ruby of Garland, Texas, Tom Ranes and his wife, Delores of Kinta, Oklahoma two sisters, Olive Heller and her husband, Dennis of Lawton, Oklahoma, Cheta Ralph of Oklee, Minnesota ten grandchildren, Christy Shuman and her husband, Jimmy of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Brandon Shearer and his wife, Edie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michael Shearer and his wife, Toni of Farmington, Minnesota, Courtney Troyer and her husband, Matt of St. Paul, Minnesota, Lindsey Orenstein and her husband, Robert of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Stephen Shearer of Round Rock, Texas, Jessica Hoggle, Ondraya Swan, Brindan Burasco and Tristan Burasco all of Lafayette, Louisiana and twenty great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Orrin parents, Frank and Margret two brothers, Guy Ranes and John Ranes.
