Michael Leroy Fassnacht (Da) 68, was born on October 29th, 1946 in Vallejo California to Archie Fassnacht and Alene Dorl Fassnacht. Mike passed from this life on March 9th, 2015. Mike graduated from Stillwater High School in 1964. After graduating high school, Mike moved to Enid and became a butcher. He married Pam Brooner on June 6th, 1965, and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966. After enlisting in the Marines Mike and Pam moved to San Diego, California where Mike was stationed. Mike served in Viet Nam in 1968 and 1969. Mike was baptized in the Cua Viet River while serving in Viet Nam, surrounded by gunboats and many friends. In 1971 Pam and Mike relocated to Pawnee, where they lived for 37 years and raised their two boys Sam and John. After moving to Pawnee Mike became a butcher at Piggly Wiggly and then went to work at OG&E (Sooner Power Plant) on September 4, 1979.
Mike retired from OG&E on December 1, 2008. After Mike retired, he and Pam traveled some and after traveling they made their home in Perry, OK. Mike loved to fish, hunt, and be outdoors. He loved dogs, raised and trained Labrador retrievers. He loved to cook and try new things in the kitchen.
Mike was proceeded in death by his son Michael Shawn Fassnacht, his mother Alene Fassnacht, his brother Eugene Fassnacht, grandparents Hosmer and Ruby Fassnacht and grandparents, Fred and Rose Dorl.
Mike is survived by Pam his wife of 49 years, his son John and wife Beth of Pawnee, son Sam and his wife Deanna of Perry, 3 grandchildren Ashlee, Tylor and Harley and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.
Services will be grave side at Grace Hill Cemetery, in Perry OK on Thursday 12, 2015 at 2 pm. Dennis Warren will be officiating. The care of the family is under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral home. Online condolences may be made to www.brown-duggerfuneralhome.com
Pallbearers will be David Alley, Tylor Huffman, Lee Alley, Gene Bixler, Stace Brien and Terry Joe Brien. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Schultz, Tom Creagor and Albert Alley.
