Melanie Hodge

d. June 29, 2024

Melanie Ann Hodge, 66, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on June 29, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the loving presence of her husband, Mike Hodge.

Melanie was born in Okmulgee in 1958 to Tommy and Katherine (Kassy) Summers. She attended and graduated from Okmulgee High School. Following graduation, Melanie moved to Morrison and worked at Mercury Marine for approximately 10 years until she relocated to Perry. She was employed at Ditch Witch in Perry, Oklahoma for over 27 years. In December of 2002, Melanie married her soulmate and the love of her life, Mike Hodge.

Melanie was an avid hunter, fishing enthusiast, lover of softball, and she enjoyed going to the casino. She was also loyal, caring, hardworking, funny, easy to talk to, and one of a kind. Family was number one in her eyes right next to OU “anything”. Being a Mimi to 20 grands was the role that made her shine like the bright light she was.

Melanie was reunited in heaven by both her parents, in-laws Danny and Dolores Hodge, and grandson Bryan Hladik. Melanie is survived by many loving family members and friends, including her husband, Mike Hodge, sister Jamie Hornburg, brother Brian Summers and wife Donna, children Stanya Rose and husband Mark, Shanna Spears and husband Wayne, Shawn Dunbar and wife Asia, Clinton Hodge and wife Ashley, Brent Hodge and wife Jordan, Leslea Wagner and Colby, “grands” Savannah Hladik, Zaysha Hladik, Bowen Rose, Bravyn McMurtry, Daxton Lunday, Jewell Spears, Harlow Dunbar, Rhylen Dunbar, Zariah Dunbar, Kai Crawford, Roman Crawford, Lilly Hodge, Rylee Hodge, Harper Hodge, Hollie Hodge, Jackson Hodge, Hadley Hodge, Cortnea Wagner, Camryn Wagner, and Carder Wagner.
