Max Tooman

Max L. Tooman, 83, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Golda K. and Pearl Cummins Tooman. He was born July 15, 1924 in Arkansas City, Kansas and died Friday, October 19, 2007 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry. Max served his country in the United States Army from 1945 until 1967. After his retirement from military service, he owned and operated the Southside Bar in Perry. He was a member of the Perry Elks Lodge. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry. Memorials may be made to the Perry Elks Lodge or Companion Hospice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Max is survived by one sister, Vera Zink, of Enid, Oklahoma; one nephew, Bill Tooman, of Enid, Oklahoma; two nieces and a host of friends.
