Mary Belle Williams 19112014 Mary Belle Treder Williams passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at Perry Memorial Hospital. For the past year Mary lived at Perry Green Valley nursing home. She was born in Dill City, Oklahoma, on July 1, 1911, to William and Elise Bietendorf Treder. Mary married Cecil C. Williams, now deceased, on November 21, 1931, in Dill City, OK. Both Mary and Cecil were graduates of Dill City high school. After farming in Oklahoma for a few years, Mary and Cecil moved to Goldsmith, Texas, around 1937, seeking work in the west Texas oil boom economy. Mary cooked and planned meals for forty people in a boarding house and Cecil worked in a drycleaning business. Mary was a wonderful cook and passed her recipes and love of good food to her family. In 1939 Cecil took a job with a trucking company and he and Mary headed to the oilfields of southern Illinois. While five months pregnant with their first child, Mary helped drive a truck to their destination. Their two daughters, Carolyn Sue and Mary Kathleen, were born in southern Illinois where Cecil worked in the oilfields with Shell Oil Company. In 1965 Cecil was transferred By Shell Oil from McLeansboro, Illinois, to its Oklahoma fields, and Mary, Cecil and Mary Kathleen moved to Perry, and subsequently purchased their home on Kaw street. Mary worked at nearby Perry Elementary School in the cafeteria for many years, retiring at age 83. Mary and Cecil were members of First Baptist church in Perry for many years. In addition to being a hardworking lady, Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was the last surviving child of her Treder family which included ten children. Mary leaves daughter Carolyn and her husband Andrew Dewees of Huntsville, Texas, and daughter Mary Kathleen and her husband John Harpel of Aurora, Colorado. Her four granddaughters are Emily Dewees, Deborah Dewees, Laurel Dewees Dunayer and Elise Harpel. Marys three greatgrandchildren are Aaron Campbell, Amelia Dunayer and Max Dunayer. Mary appreciated visiting over the years with her nephew Loyd Wax and his wife Vickie of Champaign, Illinois. The family is indebted to Dawn Leiber of Perry for her kind attention to Mary over the past five years. Visitation for family and friends is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a service conducted by Rev. Aaron Summers from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. at BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel in Perry. At 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, Mary will be buried in a graveside service next to her husband, Cecil , in South Burns Cemetery which is located near the old Treder family farm near Dill City, Oklahoma.
