Mary Louise Simpson, 65, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, was the daughter of Cliff Ray and Beulah Irene Gorman McIlvain. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Mission, Texas and died suddenly Friday, July 8, 2005 of a massive stroke at Via Christi Medical Center in Ponca City, Oklahoma. A Memorial service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Tonkawa with the Rev. Michael Brannon officiating. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Tonkawa. Memorials may be made to the Tonkawa Education Foundation in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 400 E. Grand Avenue, Tonkawa, OK 74653. Mary grew up in Tonkawa, graduating from Tonkawa High School and making her home in Tonkawa. Mary married the love of her life, Roy P.G. Dean Simpson on October 5, 1957 in the Presbyterian Church in Tonkawa. She enjoyed traveling and nature watching; but her biggest joy was her children and grandchildren, she loved to watch them in all their activities and was their biggest fan. Mary was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her husband Roy of the home; her son, Kyle Dean Simpson and his wife, Lori of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; her daughters, Sundy Louise Plagmann and her husband, Dean of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Shaye Mica Ross and her husband, Troy of Moore, Oklahoma, Shelly Mina Love of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and her grandchildren, Kolby, Karlie, and Kramer Simpson; Jenna Looper and her husband, Todd, Jessica and Mitch Plagmann; Traye and Tye Ross; Jeremy, Jordan and Jake Love. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kenneth McIlvain. The family will be at the home on 619 W. Grand.
