Margie Erlene Adams Anderson, 93, passed away on April 21, 2014 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Margie Erlene Mount was born on February 26, 1921 in Billings, Oklahoma, to John W. and Bertha B. Mount. She rode on horseback as a young girl to attend the one room Antelope Valley Country School outside of Billings. She attended high school alongside classmate Henry Bellmon at Billings High School, graduating in 1939.Margie attended college after high school, then began working for the City of Perry. Margie married Merwyn Merrit Barney Adams. They had two sons, William and Daniel. Merwyn prededed her in death in 1991. She went to work for Perry Public Schools as secretary to the principal and superintendent. She held this position for many years. She later married C. Byard Anderson, who preceded her in death in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with family as well as making wedding cakes and costumes for her children and grandchildren. She was a very skilled tole painter and enjoyed practicing her craft with friends at the Stillwater Multi Arts Center. She loved coffee time and group outings with her friends at Golden Oaks Assisted Living Center in Stillwater. Margie was always very kind and gracious. She will be missed by many but will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends from 6:00p.m.8:00p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at BrownDugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Judith Karmen Hospice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077. Margie is survived by two sons, Mr. William Adams and his wife, Debbi of Burton, Texas, and Dr. Daniel Adams and his wife, Julie of Stillwater, Oklahoma five grandchildren, Holly Ford of Lawton, Oklahoma, Teneil Adams of Wichita, Kansas, Corine KiKi Wilson and her husband, Todd of Perry, Beau and his wife, Cari of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Christopher Adams also of Tulsa and eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Mount brother, Archie Mount husbands, Merwyn Merrit Adams and C. Byard Anderson and one grandson, Joshua Adams. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Kevin Oltmanns, Judith Karmen Hospice, and the staff at Golden Oaks Assisted Living Center in Stillwater.
