Margaret Knowles

Margaret Ann Knowles, 66, of Ponca City, Oklahoma was the daughter of Harris Evans and Mary Helen Deal Johnson. She was born July 22, 1937 at Alva, Oklahoma and died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at Via Christi Hospital in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She and Walter Roscoe Knowles were married on June 5, 1958 at Pawnee, Oklahoma. Margaret was a homemaker who was very active in the Wheatheart Nutrition Center in Ponca City. She was a member of the Happy Hearts Club and the First Assembly of God Church in Ponca City. She was a past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2003 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Rev. Jack Adams will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheatheart Nutrition Center in Ponca City in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Survivors include one son, Walter Ray Knowles and his wife Mary, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one sister, Dana Hicks, and her husband, Carl, of Pawnee, Oklahoma; three nieces, Brenda Pauls and her husband, Doug, and Gwen Haga and her husband, Dennis, all of Pawnee, Oklahoma and Debra Lockwood and her husband, Willis, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two great-nieces, Melissa Pauls and Julie Pauls, both of Pawnee, Oklahoma; and six great-nephews, Matthew Lockwood, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Jeremy Lockwood, of Illinois; and Jason Haga, Joshua Haga, Micah Haga and Isaac Haga, all of Pawnee, Oklahoma. An infant son, Ricky Gene Knowles, her husband, Walter Rosco Knowles, and her parents preceded Margaret in death.
