Louella Franklin

Louella Jane Franklin, 79, of the Donnellson Health Center, formerly of Perry, Oklahoma and Nauvoo, Illinois, passed away at 3:05 P.M. Monday, September 4, 2006 at the Donnellson Health Center in Donnellson, Iowa. Born April 29, 1927 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Charlie W. and Rachel Vanpool Andrew. On December 27, 1948 at Oklahoma City she married Gerald W. Franklin, Jr. He preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons: Gerald Patricia Franklin of Topeka, Kansas, Charles Louise Franklin of Farmington, Iowa, and Rodney Franklin of Keokuk, Iowa, 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother Jim and her daughter-in-law Candy. Louella was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints and the Relief Society of the Church. She was a homemaker. The funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday September 7, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Keokuk, Iowa with President Darrell Davis officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
