Lorrene Hornberger, 72, of Stillwater, Oklahoma was born to William and Ethel Chartier Paulsen on July 20, 1930 at Hennessey, Oklahoma. She died at 4:02 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the OU Trauma Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2003 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rev. Bill Chace and Father Tom Dowdell will officiate. Interment will be in the Sumner Cemetery under direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Lorrene and Bill Hornberger were married May 6, 1988 at Stillwater, Oklahoma. She had worked as a telephone operator. She enjoyed fishing, embroidering quilts, flower gardening, baking and decorating birthday and wedding cakes and enjoyed reading. In addition to her husband, Bill, Lorrene is survived by one son, Edward Pauley, Morrison, Oklahoma; one daughter, Rita Pauley, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her twin sister, Collene Anderson, Perry, Oklahoma, another sister, Goldie Hoskins, Morrison, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Kristi Strickland and her husband, Brian, and Kendra Seba and her promised other, Christopher Calabrese, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends. Her parents, William and Ethel Paulsen; one sister, Betty Mosena; and her first husband, Calvin Pauley, preceded her in death.
