Lonnie Lee Cinnamon was the 3rd child of Kenneth (Elvin) Cinnamon and Dorene (Garton) Cinnamon. He was born by lamplight on a farm, Jan. 7, 1948, and passed on Sunday, Aug. 5. He attended Garber Schools and graduated in 1966. He went to college at Oklahoma A&M, (now OSU) NOC, and NWOSU. He married Linda Lea Foraker on April 6, 1968. They had 2 sons, Terry L. Cinnamon and Robert L. Cinnamon. Lonnie was a member of the Garber Christian Church. He also served as Treasurer for the Rural Fire Department. When his father died in 1970, he took the opportunity to move to his grandparents' farm E. of Garber. With the help of his grandchildren, he started a hay business. He also decided to raise bees and collect honey. He is survived by Linda, his wife of 50 years, his sons, Terry Cinnamon and wife, Sandy; Robert Cinnamon; five grandchildren, two sisters; Avola Rutledge, Marysville, Ohio, Joyce Masters, OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Dorene (Garton) Cinnamon, and his brother, Dale Cinnamon.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 9am to 7pm, with family present from 5pm to 7pm, and Friday, August 10, 2018, From 9am to 7pm at Dugger Funeral Home in Garber, OK. Services will be Saturday, August 11, 2018, 3pm at the Christian Church of Garber with Interment at the Garber Cemetery in Garber, OK.
