Linda Avon Thompson, 57, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was the daughter of Carl W. and Geneieve Mahee Appleman. She was born June 3, 1949 in Red Rock, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at her home. Linda was a member of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe. She and Darrell Thompson were married on April 22, 2004 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked as a waitress. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery at Red Rock, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two sons, Darin T. Rheam and Troy E. Rheam, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Joy Henson, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; her step-father, Kenneth Hughes, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Otis Franklin Stickney, of Perry Oklahoma and Bob G. Appleman, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sisters, Madge Stickney Kendricks, of Cushing, Oklahoma, Rose M. Boyd, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Peggy K. Swaim, of Clayton, California; and Brenda Olquin, of Seattle, Washington; and four grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Lawrence Pipestem Jr., and two nephews.
