Lillian G. Mynes Sumler Pauley, 92, of Perry, Oklahoma, formerly of Jeffrey, West Virginia, was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Ann Mynes. She was born November 2, 1918 and went to her House on the Hill to join her Lord and Savior in heaven on April 21, 2011. Our dear one is now free from pain and heartaches, safe in the arms of her Lord. Mom was a wonderful mother who worked hard and cared for her family raising six children almost entirely on her own. Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her which was evidenced by the picture gallery on her walls. She loved gospel music, red roses, raising a garden, preserving the vegetables, and quilting. Moms cabbage rolls, shuck beans, apple pies and sugar cookies were always a special treat during the holidays and special occasions. During the time spent with her daughter in Perry, Oklahoma, Lillian had become friends with so many people through the Calvary Baptist Church and our wonderful Pastor Roger Dunn and his wife, Kathy. She was lovingly known as Granny. The wake will be held from 6:008:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, West Virginia. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Ball Chapel in Jeffery, West Virginia. Rev. Charles Gillispie will officiate.
