Lester Odenwald

Lester Ray Odenwald, 76, of Billings, Oklahoma, was the son of Ralph George and Marjorie Lois Bailey Odenwald. He was born on February 19, 1937 in Billings, Oklahoma and died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Integris Bass Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma. He married his best friend and sweetheart, Karen Yvonne Powell on August 18, 1954 in Perry, Oklahoma. In 2014 they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage. Lester enjoyed going to Las Vegas, Nevada, computer research, computer work with pictures, genealogy, bowling and working on computers. He was known as a custom harvester for over twenty years and also enjoyed raising Saler show cattle. He and Karen reminisced about the old days when he was a custom harvester. They began their vacation journey one year ago to explore the old custom harvest route. When he was not working on his hobbies or spending time with his beloved dog, Blondie, you could always find him doing what he loved most and that was spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Billings, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Billings, Oklahoma. Rev. Floyd Westfall will officiate and Kent Reubell will assist. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Billings, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Billings, Oklahoma. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Dugger Funeral Home, Billings, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in care of Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N 7th, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. Lester is survived by his wife Karen of the home one son, Chris Allen Odenwald and his wife, Sara Jane of Billings, Oklahoma one daughter, Teresa Simic and her husband, Rudy of Garber, Oklahoma three grandchildren, Preston Simic and his wife, Truby of Garber, Oklahoma, Brian Simic and his wife, Allie of Bixby, Oklahoma, Jeremy Odenwald and his wife, Heather of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma four greatgrandchildren two brothers, Max Odenwald and Ralph Butch Odenwald both of Billings, Oklahoma.
