Lester R. Bocox, 91, of Orlando, Oklahoma, was the son of Earl Earnest and Lottie Warner Bocox. He was born on October 17, 1918 in Orlando, Oklahoma and died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. Lester retired from Dowell Chemicals where he worked in the oilfield. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with his friends, family and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching golf. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Orlando, Oklahoma. Pastor Adrian Pollard will officiate. Interment will be in Bocox Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Lester is survived by two sons, Robert Bocox of Enid, Oklahoma and Ronnie Ronald Bocox of Ontario, Canada four grandchildren, Jon Bocox of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Adam and Devin Bocox, both of Ontario, Canada, and Carla Townsend, of Owasso, Oklahoma one great grandchild Tysen Townsend, of Owasso, Oklahoma and one brother, Roger Bocox of Pottsboro, Texas.
