Leslie Gail Horner, 44, of Mulhall, Oklahoma, was the daughter of David Franklin and Delcy May Cox Mead. She was born on September 20, 1959 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and died Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Leslie had been the assistant manager of Homeland in Perry for the past five years. She enjoyed baking, being with her family and working. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2003 in the Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Lamont Carter will officiate. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Mulhall, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2003 at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home. Leslie is survived by her husband, Ronald Ritter; two sons, Travis Aaron Horner of Perry, Oklahoma and Ira Jacob Horner of Mulhall, Oklahoma; one daughter, Natasha Dawn Horner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her mother and step-father, Sonny and Delcy Burgess, of Mulhall, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; six brothers, Steve Mead of Enid, Oklahoma, Kevin Mead of Orlando, Oklahoma, Anthony Mead of Jefferson City, Missouri, George Mead of Orlando, Oklahoma, William Burgess, Jr. of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Ricky Burgess of Mulhall, Oklahoma; seven sisters, Terry Mead of Hennessey, Oklahoma, Billi Jo Robinson of Minnesota, Georganna Burgess, Nedra Fogelman, and Roxanna Burgess, all of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Kristy Burgess of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Katrina Burgess of Mulhall, Oklahoma and two special friends, Lee Atkinson of Perry, Oklahoma and Kim Uhrig of Mulhall, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, David Mead; one sister, Cynthia Burgess; paternal grandparents, Frank and Christina Mead and maternal grandparents, Ed and Opal Cox.
