Lawrence Wayne Simpson, 66, of Garber, Oklahoma was the son of Ephriam Wesley and Doris Estella Clark Simpson. He was born February 24, 1942 at Enid, Oklahoma and died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his home. Lawrence graduated from Covington High School at Covington, Oklahoma in 1960. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1967. On August 7, 1965, he and Betty Artherholt were married at Enid, Oklahoma. He worked as an aircraft mechanic at Vance Air Force Base from 1969 until 2004 when he retired. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Black Bear Cemetery near Garber, Oklahoma. Pastor Tom LeGrand will officiate. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home of Garber, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Garber, Oklahoma 73738. Lawrence is survived by three daughters, Toni Kroll and her husband, Steve, of Billings, Oklahoma, Kristy McGehee and her husband, Layne, of Garber, Oklahoma and Cherie Spangler and her husband, Daniel, of Covington, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Rod Cline, of Waukomis, Oklahoma, Casey Ramirez, of Killeen, Texas, Taylor McGehee, Hope McGehee, Emilee Hughes, Errika Hughes and Wyatt Spangler, all of Garber, Oklahoma, and Rudi Kroll of Billings, Oklahoma; and two sisters, Eileen Lichtenberg and Anita Stebbins, both of Enid, Oklahoma.
