Laverta May Ketts, 85 of Billings. Oklahoma died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the United Methodist Health Care Center at The Commons in Enid, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong resident of Billings born in Covington, Oklahoma to Ted and Clara (Hiatt) Kriethe. She was married to Danny D. Ketts in Covington, Oklahoma on September 29, 1950. For many years, Laverta was the owner-operator of the Oasis Drive Inn in Billings where many high school and community people would gather. Later she worked as a nursing aide retiring from the Fairchild Center in Billings.
She and her husband, Danny enjoyed playing cards in particular Pitch at the Old School House near Garber. Laverta also enjoyed bingo, word puzzles and traveling in their travel trailer. To their union were born three children; Regina, Mitchell, and Matt.
She is survived by loving family, husband, Danny; children, Regina Ketts of Edmond, Oklahoma and Matt Ketts and spouse, Deborah of Enid, Oklahoma. One grandchild, Bo Ketts, and spouse, Cherie. Two great grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Ketts. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mitchell, four brothers and two sisters.
Services for Mrs. Ketts will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017, at 10:00 am in the Billings Christian Church with burial to follow at Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dugger Funeral Home in Billings, Oklahoma on Sunday, July 2, 2017, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
