Larry Ehlers

Larry D. Ehlers, 65, of Billings, Oklahoma, was the son of Neal C. and Ada Della Haskins Ehlers. He was born on September 8, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma and died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home after battling cancer for seven years. He graduated from Billings High School in 1962 and attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. On January 19, 1974, Larry married Sue Bucholz Ehlers at the First Baptist Church in Billings, Oklahoma. At the age of 16, he produced his first wheat crop and continued to farm and raise Limousin cattle. He worked for Garfield County District II for 25 years as a bulldozer operator, truck driver and also repaired county roads for the maintenance division. Larry was a member of the Christian Church in Billings, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Christian Church in Billings. Rev. Floyd Westfall will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Billings, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home, Billings, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Ross Hospice or Garfield County Relay for Life in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Billings, OK 74630. Larry is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home one son, Neal Ehlers of Billings, Oklahoma two daughters, Shelli Struble and her husband, Bart, of Enid, Oklahoma, and Staci Rowell and her husband, Brian, of Guthrie, Oklahoma five grandchildren, Nichole Struble of Edmond, Oklahoma, Tanner Struble of Enid, Oklahoma, Hunter and Kellan Ehlers, both of Billings, Oklahoma, and Jackson Rowell of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
