Kay Franklin Collins, 66, formerly of Tryon, Oklahoma, departed this world too soon on Friday, March 25, 2011 to be with his Heavenly Father. Frank was born on April 22, 1944 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Carl and Juanita Collins. Frank grew up with three brothers Charley, Ronnie and Danny and three sisters Kathryn, Patty and Mary Nell, and they nicknamed him pee wee. His childhood years were spent in Guthrie, Bristow and Pryor and his teenage years were spent in Tryon, Oklahoma with his brother Charley under the care of Conrad and Ruby Schreiner. After graduating from Tryon High School in 1962 he attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was married to Judy Sloan from 1963 to 1995 and they had two boys Larry and Matthew. Frank was an active member of the Tryon Christian Union Church for many years. He served in various capacities including: Song Leader, High School Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and Church Elder. He spent 16 years with Armco Steel Inc. in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and his remaining time was spent in the oil and gas industry which quickly became his passion in life. Frank also enjoyed antiques and attending auctions but most of all he loved making people laugh and spending time with loved ones. Frank was loved and will be missed by his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many relatives and friends. Services to celebrate Franks life will be on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Drumright, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home, Perry, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 North 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
