Katherine Jerome

Lifetime Perry resident, Mary Katherine Jerome was born February 26, 1919 in Lucien, Oklahoma to Ernest and Clara Jane Donahey Moelling. She passed away May 29, 2014 at her home in Perry, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years.
Katherine graduated from Enid High School where she was the valedictorian for the class of 1937. On September 15, 1937 in Enid, Oklahoma, Katherine Moelling was united in marriage with the late, Tom Jerome and to this union, two children were born.
Katherine helped raise greyhounds along with her husband and also worked at Elwell Auto Supply for her son, Ted. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Perry and the Perry Elks Lodge. Katherine enjoyed playing bridge and doing needle point.
Katherine is survived by one daughter, Sharon Merz and her husband, Everett of Las Vegas, Nevada one sister, Imogene Farwell of Elko, Nevada three grandchildren, Shelby Merz, Kevin Merz, and Todd Jerome two greatgrandchildren, Trisha Harrison, and Courtney Merz and two greatgreat grandchildren, Skylar Bowen and Jada Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Ted Jerome.
Funeral services will be 10am, Monday, at the First Presbyterian Church with Sam Jerome officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma.
