Katherine Dormire

Katherine Dormire, 99 years and 12 days, of Morrison, Oklahoma was born to William H. and Josephine Conard Herbert Grant. She was born April 19, 1912 in Perry, Oklahoma and died Sunday, May 1, 2011 at her home in Morrison. She married George Boyler Dormire on August 31, 1931. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1979. Katherine lived in Noble county most of her entire life. She moved from Kansas by covered wagon when she was 9 years old. She farmed for over 78 years on their land in Morrison. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Perry. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the BrownDugger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:008:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at BrownDugger Funeral Home. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Virginia Graves and her husband, Tom of Morrison, Oklahoma two brothers, Myron Grant of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Murray Grant and his wife, Frieda of Phoenix, Arizona sister, Lorene Hardy and her husband, Leroy of Liberal, Missouri two grandchildren, Michelle Graves of Roanoke, Texas and David Graves and his wife, Debbie of Morrison, Oklahoma three great grandchildren, Jesse Graves of Roanoke, Texas, Brad Graves of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Jill Graves of Tulsa, Oklahoma three step greatgrandchildren, James Calvin McNabb and Joel McNabb both of Coweta, Oklahoma and Jennifer McNabb of Fairfax, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband parents four brothers, Paul Grant, Ivan Grant, Kenneth Grant and Raymond Grant four sisters, Jennie Mae Moore, Joan Kistler, Wilma Coleman and Roberta Whitlow.
