June Maxine Fischer Feken, 90, of Perry, Oklahoma, was born on June 5, 1922 on the family farm east of Covington and died on September 27, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry, Oklahoma. June was the firstborn of seven children to John Arthur and Bertha Wolf Fischer. She grew up and attended school in Covington, graduating from Covington High School. During World War II she went to Wichita, Kansas to work in the factories supporting the war effort. June married Vernon Donoho and to this union two daughters were born, Linda Sue and Sandra Kaye. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1989. Upon moving the family to Perry, June worked at the Wolfe Meat Processing Plant, Clarks Meat Processing Plant, Kleins Meats, Safeway and was an original employee of Mr. Convenience store when it opened for business. She retired in 1984 and began baking cakes for all occasions. On July 28, 1974 in Perry, Oklahoma she married Ed Feken he preceded her in death after thirty two years of marriage. June lived a very full life, enjoying everything from league bowling to traveling, she approached everything in life with enthusiasm. She was always anxious to hear what was going on in the lives of others and had a hug for everyone. She loved her Wheatheart friends. Her cakes, cookies and Christmas peanut brittle will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to be on the receiving end of her giving. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., September 28, 2012 at First Christian Church in Perry, Oklahoma. Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Interment will be in Covington Cemetery, Covington, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. June is survived by two daughters, Linda McSwain of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Sandy Kern and her husband, Mark of Edmond, Oklahoma twostepsons, Eddie Feken and Fred Feken and their families three grandchildren, Tim Beier of Perry, Oklahoma, Amy Nieuwenhuis and her husband, Jason of Edmond, Oklahoma, Morgan Scott and her husband, Brandon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma twogreat grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Nieuwenhuis both of Edmond, Oklahoma one brother, Lloyd Fischer and his wife, Barbara of Enid, Oklahoma two sisters, Beverley Warren and her husband, John of Covington, Oklahoma, Jo Ann Albright and her husband, Duane of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma two sisterinlaws, Hattie Fischer of Perry, Oklahoma and Marie Fischer of Covington, Oklahoma numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Fischer her first husband, Vernon Donoho, her second husband, Ed Feken three brothers, Walter Fischer, Don Fischer and Maurice Fischer one sisterinlaw, Irma Fischer two stepsons, Frank Feken and Ben Feken one stepdaughter, Darlene Klein one grandson, Edward Feken.
