Juanita Marshall

Juanita Deloris Marshall, formerly of Perry, has gone to heaven. She was only 99 years old.  She was born on January 10, 1923, in Pawnee, OK, to Lewis Rodney Richardson and Rissie Mae Jones Richardson.  As a young girl she attended School in Skedee but graduated from Pawnee High School with the class of 1941.  After graduation, she married the love of her life, Gerald Russell Marshall on Valentine’s Day of 1948.

She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children Aaron Royce Marshall and Wyetha Monee Marshall-Hook.  She worked as a telephone switchboard operator at Southwestern Bell, until she was promoted to the office later in her career.

Juanita was a ball of fun, she enjoyed line dancing and playing dominos.  In her spare time, she volunteered for many church functions and women’s clubs.  She loved the Lord Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss, children Aaron Royce Marshall and Wyetha Monee Marshall-Hook, grandchildren Brad Marshall, Jason Marshall, Traver Smith,  Linzi Smith Thomas , great grandchildren: Steven Marshall,  Amanda Marshall-Keating, Tyler Marshall, Tanner Marshall,  Maddie Marshall,  Caitlin Marshall.  Seven Smith, Scarlett Smith, Piper Thomas, great-great granddaughter Lyla Keating. She also leaves behind a large family of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to stop by Brown Dugger Funeral Home of Perry on Tuesday (4/5) from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. to sign her book and pay their respects.  The family will be present Tuesday (4/5) evening from 5p.m. until 7 p.m. for a time of fellowship and food.  You are welcome to stop by during that time.

Funeral services, led by Reverend Joshua Bell, will begin Wednesday (4/6) at 10a.m., at the First Christian Church of Perry 701 Holly Street.  Casket bearers for the service will include Bryan Richardson, Traci Richardson, Kendall Richardson, Mark Welch, Lane Welch, And Brad Shankle.  Honorary bearers are Jake Richardson and Rodney Lindell.

Burial will follow at the McGuire Cemetery of Lucien, OK.
