Jonathan was born April 9, 1992 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Leon and Linda (Harrell) DeVilbiss. Jonathan grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and dreaming of muscle cars. He was a miracle child given to his mother who was inspired to name him Jonathan, which means "God's Gift". He was the only brother to three older sisters who spent many happy hours playing with him and caring for him. He was their constant companion and he provided many good times with his quick wit and great smile. He was charismatic, inquisitive and loved by everyone he met. His dad fondly remembers how much Jonathan liked music and was inspired to learn how to play the guitar. Everyone who met Jonathan was drawn to his sweet and gentle spirit. He had been employed at Ditch Witch and then Horizon Well Testing before going to work for ODOT as a residency lab technician.

Those left to cherish his memory include his dad Leon DeVilbiss and wife Carolyn of Perry, Oklahoma; mother Linda and husband Darrell Atchley of Guthrie, Oklahoma; three sisters, Heather & Dustin Nabors of Maricopa, Arizona; Lindsay & Stevan Cervantes of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Nichole & Trace Dilliner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step brother Johnny Estrada of Perry; three step sisters Micah Estrada of Perry, Nikki Edwards of Alva and Ivy Tell of Perry; one niece Lily Nabors; four nephews Eli Nabors, Camden, Taten, and Nolan Cervantes; two uncles Allen DeVilbiss and wife Tami of Perry, and Paul DeVilbiss of Crescent; one aunt, Edith Hanes of Orlando, Oklahoma, and numerous friends and cousins.
