Johnnie Hartz

Johnnie Hartz, 90, of Billings, Oklahoma, was the son of Valentin and Clara Peter Hartz. He was born on March 29, 1917 in Enid, Oklahoma and died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Enid, Oklahoma. Johnnie served his country as a member of the United States Army, serving during World War II. A funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Billings, Oklahoma. Father Tom Dowdell will officiate. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Enid, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Dugger Funeral Home in Billings, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Billings in care of Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 41, Billings, Oklahoma 74630. Johnnie is survived by one brother, Robert Hartz and his wife, Helen, of Billings, Oklahoma; one sister, Mary Heitfield of Breckinridge, Oklahoma; three nephews, Rick Hartz of Billings, Oklahoma, Larry Heitfield of Breckinridge, Oklahoma and Gene Heitfield of Enid, Oklahoma; three nieces, Donna Nightengale of Billings, Oklahoma, Theresa Brewer of Lamont, Oklahoma and Carolyn Sanford of Enid, Oklahoma; four great-nephews and four great-niece.
