John Malget, 98, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Francis Michael and Margaret Remacle Malget. He was born on November 4, 1911 in Perry, Oklahoma and died at his home on Saturday, May 15, 2010. In 1929, John graduated from St. Josephs Academy in Perry. John married Wilma Jean Schock on July 20, 1941 in Perry, Oklahoma at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Rectory. In July, John and Jean celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed going to the Kumback and visiting with family and friends. Johns hobbies included playing pitch and dominoes, gardening and making sure that his lawn was immaculate. He also enjoyed farming and raising cattle. John was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and 4H Club Leaders. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Tom Dowdell will officiate. Interment will be at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of BrownDugger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church or the American Heart Association in care of BrownDugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077. John is survived by his wife Jean Malget one son, David Malget and his wife, Lois, of Perry, Oklahoma one daughter, Margaret Gary and her husband, Lewis, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma four grandchildren, Troy VanBrunt and his wife, Jayme, of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, John Malget and his wife, Sherri, of Houston, Texas, Sandra Malget and her husband, Tom Stanley, and Ray Malget, all of Perry, Oklahoma seven greatgrandchildren, John D. Malget and Kristin Malget, both of Houston, Texas, Ethan VanBrunt of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Caroline Malget, Mary Malget, Thomas Stanley, Jr. and Jean Stanley, all of Perry, Oklahoma and two sisters, Mary Della Tetik of Perry, Oklahoma and Martha Thompson of Vista, California. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Patricia Jean Malget his parents, Francis and Margaret Malget and four brothers, Gus Malget, Nick Malget, Joe Malget and Frank Malget.
