John H. Hardy

April 24, 1950 — February 16, 2025

Billings, Oklahoma

John H. Hardy, a beloved soul whose kindness and laughter touched the lives of all who knew him, passed away on February 16, 2025, in Billings, Oklahoma. Born on April 24, 1950, John embraced his journey with a spirit both sweet and fun,

John spent early years at Enid State School, graduating in 1968 before dedicating his time to the Billings Fairchild Center from 1968 until 2025. During this time, he formed enduring connections with friends and staff who became like family, enriching his life with love and support. His vibrant personality shone through even the most challenging days, turning difficulties into opportunities for joy and camaraderie.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Gladys Loudine Ridenour, who passed away in 2011, and his father, George Andrew Ridenour. John also mourned the early loss of his baby brother, Mickey Cochrin Hardy, who left this world too soon in 1962. While they may no longer be with us, their memories undoubtedly live on in the stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to witness John’s remarkable spirit.

John will be remembered not only for the challenges he faced but for the immense love he radiated. His legacy of kindness, humor, and resilience will continue to inspire those at the Billings Fairchild Center and beyond. In the hearts of friends and caregivers who have cherished him throughout his life, John H. Hardy's light will forever blaze brightly.
